Enrolment at Barwon Valley School

Barwon Valley School is a Department of Education Special Developmental School.

The enrolment criteria for Barwon Valley students is

  • Diagnosed intellectual disability
  • FSIQ 50 or below
  • Vineland of 70 or below

Our school is not a designated neighbourhood school, and our enrolment is based on our school’s local enrolment policy (please see tab: about/policies)

Our school may request information necessary to determine eligibility in accordance with the criteria set out in our enrolment policy (please see tab: about/policies)

Enrolments forms are provided to parents from the school office once eligibility for their child has been established.

Transport

The Department of Education and Training fund contract buses that enrolled students may be eligible for. To find out more about eligibility criteria, head to the DET website.
 
To be eligible for transport to Barwon Valley School, you must live within the Barwon Valley School Designated Travel Area (DTA). Please note that if you live within 4.8km of Barwon Valley School, you are not eligible for a bus. You can check your DTA here.
